01 / 07Looking up

We have always looked up. NASA went to look.

Since 1958, NASA has photographed nearly everything it has done. Film carried to the Moon and back. Rolls shot from the Shuttle. Pictures radioed home by machines that were never coming back. For ten years, Joel Meter and Simon Phillipson traced them back to the original film and mission data.

The dust and scratches come off. Nothing is added that was never there. The grain stays, because it is the proof that someone was really there.
